SELECTING A LIFE CARE PLANNER
Certified Life Care Planners with backgrounds as Certified Rehabilitation Counselors, Certified Case Managers, or other national health care endorsements who have advanced Life Care Planning training and experience in Catastrophic Case Management, Medical Case Management, Medical Rehabilitation, and Rehabilitation Counseling are qualified to provide Life Care Planning services. They must have advanced knowledge of specific disabilities, established treatment care resources and a consistent objective approach toward the practical and functional elements involved in providing the treatment of catastrophic injuries and diseases. Communication and negotiation skills are essential in working with patients, families, caregivers, and treatment teams and in providing credible testimony in a variety of venues.
National Life Care Institute, Inc. (NLCI) d.b.a. Life Care Services, Inc. (LCS), is staffed with professionals actively involved in continuing education in Advanced Case Management, Life Care Planning, and Catastrophic Case Management.
