Life Care Planning is a rehabilitation and long-term needs assessment of the reasonable and necessary case-specific goods and services required for an individual with a catastrophic injury and/or chronic health care needs to maximize his or her health and independence.
The disability process is a traumatic experience affecting not only the injured person and his or her family but also the employer and work peers. The general economic climate may also be significantly impacted in certain venues. It is important to provide rehabilitative intervention as early as possible and thus minimize the overall impact. The earlier the intervention, the greater the likelihood of successful case resolution.
